Payment

Payment is processed on your credit card account when an order is placed, as furniture is made specifically to your order. Furniturea accepts Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover credit cards. Furniture sold and delivered in Maine is subject to a 5% sales tax. Furniture prices do not include shipping charges. Shipping charges are computed and added to your order total at checkout. Orders changed and/or cancelled after 3 business days may be subject to a fee equal to 15% of the order amount, not including tax and shipping costs, if your furniture has been placed in production.

Shipping and Delivery

Shipping Costs.

The shipping cost of each piece varies with the size and weight of the piece and whether white glove service (see delivery below) is indicated for assembly at your location. You will always know the amount of the shipping before you place your final order, as it will appear in the shopping cart when you first click on the "checkout" button. Here are some common shipping amounts for individual pieces.

Delivery.

Each piece of furniture is made to order and is typically ready for shipment approximately 4 weeks from the date of order. Custom pieces may take longer. We will contact you when your order is ready for shipment. Smaller pieces are shipped UPS. Larger pieces are typically shipped "white glove". Furniturea partners with several national "white glove" furniture delivery services that will ship and place your furniture in your home. Shipment costs reflect typical deliveries to the lower 48 states. Contact Customer Service for international shipments or deliveries to unique locations.

Returns

Furniturea will refund the purchase price of stock furniture returned in like-new condition within 30 days of delivery for any reason. We want our customers to be completely satisfied with their furniture. Furniture in custom sizes and/or colors is not returnable. Returns must be shipped to our facility at 520 Riverside Parkway, Portland, ME 04103. After inspection to verify condition, credit card orders will receive a credit; orders paid by check or cash will receive a refund check. Shipping costs are not refundable. Orders changed and/or cancelled after 3 business days may be subject to a fee equal to 15% of the order amount, not including tax and shipping costs, if your furniture has been placed in production.

Product Specifications

Our furniture is made with maple and maple veneered panels and is guaranteed to be free of defects in materials and workmanship. All described dimensions are approximate. If exact fractional dimensions are important for furniture placement please consult with Customer Service. Our colors may vary from the images on your computer screen. Paint color chips are available at no cost and will accurately represent our color palette.

Our beds are uniquely designed to provide a comfortable, consistent 27" bedding height above the floor. Beds are made to order to your bedding specifications and will accommodate mattress and box spring combinations from 6" thick to 22" thick. All beds are available as platforms and are easilly assembled without tools. The Settee and Daybed have a bedding height of 22", more comfortable when used as seating.

Our tables are shipped "ready to assemble". The larger tables are shipped "white glove" and will be assembled by our delivery service. Occasional tables are shipped UPS and will need to be assembled. Assembly is easily accomplished with only a screwdriver. We will send you a screwdriver with your order if requested. All other products are shipped fully assembled.

Privacy and Security

Furniturea will not sell or trade your personal information to anyone at any time. We use industry accepted encryption and authentification tools to protect the security of our customer's personal information sent when placing orders through our website. However, as with any commercial website, customers are using our website at their own risk. Once we receive customer transmissions, we limit access to customer information to the people directly involved with completing and monitoring orders and payments.
